Cell Phone Camera Experiments
Cell phone technology offers unique creative possibilities. In combination with the explosion of photo manipulation applications (Apps) there are boundless creative and teaching possibilities. Regarding personal use: my experiments explore how a cell phone camera can generate images creatively and aesthetically different from other camera technology. In other words, I make pictures with my cell phone camera that I would not otherwise make. Regarding teaching: I’ve had limited success convincing students that their cell phone camera is an extremely creative tool. When assigning cell phone camera projects, a question that’s often asked: “Is it ok if I use my real camera?”
