Covid Diary
During the first week of the Coronavirus disruption in 2020, I had trouble getting out of bed. I gave my students an assignment to create a photographic record of their lives during lockdown. Then I decided to do the same. Consequently, a new photography project emerged. In the past, I’ve created many self-portraits memorializing a variety of life circumstances. Approximately twenty years ago my definition of self-portraiture metamorphosed, resulting in my departure from the frame. However, since I lived alone and isolated during the pandemic, I returned to perform on my stage. Act one: getting out of bed.
